The Three Axes by Agnes

Once upon a time, in an enormous farm near a big pond, there were two greedy farmers. In the farm, there was a lot of food, like chocolate, bread, margarine, toast ….

The first greedy farmer dropped one old red axe in the pond. The farmer said, “It was an accident, please give it back to me. “ Then, a beautiful queen quickly flew up to the blue sky and asked the farmer, “I have three axes: one is gold, one is silver and one is red. Which axe is yours? The greedy farmer thought, “If I say the gold is mine, then I will be rich.” The greedy farmer said, “The gold is mine!” The beautiful queen knew the gold one was not his, so she did not give anything to the greedy farmer. The greedy farmer thought, “The beautiful queen is bad!”

Then, the second farmer found another blue axe in the farm and dropped an axe in the pond. The greedy farmer thought, “It is an accidental!” After than, a beautiful queen of the pond slowly flew up to the sky and asked the farmer, “One is gold, one is silver and one is blue. I will give you one more chance. If you are honest.” The greedy farmer thought, “I must be honest.” The farmer said, “The blue is mine!” Then, the farmer got three new axes. The farmer thought, “I am rich now.”

Later, the farmer was rich and lived in a mansion. The farmer learnt we must be honest.
