Eating Out by Agnes

Eating Out by Li Sing Yee, Agnes

Dear Aunt Melody,

How are you? I really hope you can visit me, mum and dad soon and stay in our home.

Last April, I got 100 marks in the March English exam and we celebrated my 9 years old birthday, so we went to the Indian Curry Restaurant in Sai Wan Ho that serves famous food. I felt very surprised because my mum chose this restaurant and it is famous for the Curry. My family, Tom cousin, grandparents and I sat at a round orange table. The table was in the corner of the restaurant. I saw some beautiful pictures of the old Hong Kong and some views of stars and bosses together hanging on the wall that had special decorations. A waiter talked politely and more a big smile. He gave us the starter. They were also famous because it was on the Michelin Guide. I waited for two hours outside of the restaurant, so that we could eat there. I was so hungry and I played games to wait for our table. We saw the menus were very beautiful and had few words.

We ordered a fresh salad, fragrant mushroom soup, delicious ham and cheese pizza for starter. I was surprised that they had ham and cheese pizza. They were all yummy. I chose the adorable tomato curry fish because tomato is my favourite. Mum and Dad tried for ambrosial curry mango mutton because it contains a lot of protein. My grandparents had a pleasant cheese pie and yummy tomato pie, so that they were stuffed and felt tired. Tom, my cousin, liked the enjoyable curry steak because they love soft steak very much. We all loved the food because they were tasty and yummy. All the food had blue curry fish decorations. It was great.

Then, it was time for our dessert. Tom and I ordered fried ice-cream with brown chocolate cookies, savory apple and delightful mango. It was delicious. Mum and Dad shared chocolate cakes and cheesecakes. We were all full. Dad had paid the bill at the cashier. They all sang a graceful birthday song and bought a beautiful gratifying birthday cake for me. I thought my mum was the best mum in the world because she knew my birthday. I was very delighted and overjoyed when I saw that my birthday presents were great. Mum and Dad gave me an N.D.S., my grandparents gave me my favourite pen and Tom’s family gave me a table tennis racket.

We were very exhausted because we were playing games in the restaurant and it was my favourite game of catching people. I ate so much food, so I had to play table tennis together because we also love to play it. I really hope you will visit us soon and we will go to that special restaurant and celebrate your birthday together.

Love,
Agnes

  1. Your e-mail is very clear and colourful, so I like it very much! You used many colours to write the words. Besides, you used many connetives, so that I can read it more easily.
